PWNED!: The Nikkei amusingly include a “PWNED” graphic with their article about how the Macbook Air was hacked. Incidentally, the exploit was not specific to the macbook air, rather a loophole in Safari that can be exploited by user error (i.e. getting a user to visit a malicious site and clicking on a dialogue box that says “yes, allow this site to wreak havoc on my computer”). Hardly a “hack”. This was “discovered” at a hacking event where after the 1st day and no results they decided to relax the rules and let the hacker have physical access to the machine. If a hacker has physical access to my machine, I’m in deeper shit than him setting up some erroneous website for me to click on.
