iPhone is big in Japan, reflects local failure to innovate

Japan's celluar industry is "collegial," according to a former NTT DoCoMo executive, resulting a lack of "vision" to innovate. This has led to high demand for the iPhone there, despite missing some features common to Japanese handsets.
